But to make the process more efficient and cost-effective, we have purchased state-of-the-art desktop publishing software, called At My Desk, which we will use to produce the newsletter in-house. My new assistant, Chris Jones, will direct production and train employees in using the software. Training †¢All employees who submit articles to the newsletter must attend a two-hour training workshop in using the At My Desk program. †¢Workshops will be held throughout November and December. Chris will send out a schedule of workshops, and sign up is on a first-come first-served basis. †¢Once you have been trained, you may begin submitting articles electronically. Procedures for Electronic Submission of Articles †¢When you complete the training, you will be given a PIN to get into the newsletter site. The new software will give you more input into newsletter design, make the process more efficient overall, and give you a variety of design options for other kinds of projects.
